Suday roundup eight

Another week closes here at Chez Green. We’re gearing up for our zero waste week at the beginning of September and we want YOU to join in too.
You’ll be able to find out more next week about stepping up to your own challenge with us. Don’t worry, you can work this at your own pace and there will be loads of people to support and encourage you with achieving your goal.
There will be prizes galore, donated to us by some wonderful companies. All the prizes are either made from recycled materials, fully recyclable at the end of their life or will help you to recycle more in your day to day life.
All you have to do is pledge to reduce your own waste to be in with a chance of winning.
On Monday, I invited people to enter the Carnival of Trash. We’ve had some wonderful entries and I’m really looking forward to hosting the carnival and sharing all the great posts with you soon.
On Tuesday, I stepped out from behind the keyboard and infront of the camera for our first recycling video! Find out how we reduced one days waste of 1.9kg to just………..well, go and find out for yourself 😉
Wednesday was our weekly weigh in. Did we gain or lose weight this week?
On Thursday I shared about two Birthdays we had celebrated this week. Did we celebrate zero waste style or not?
On Friday, Mr Green stepped up to the blog and wrote about recycling mobile phones. Go and find out how to recycle your old phones with his thought provoking post
The beginning of the month is always busy at My Zero Waste, there is a new challenge, a new dustbin demon, a fabulous new competition (find out how to win a stop junk mail kit) and of course, we announce the winner of last month’s competition. Find out who won a bokashi bin by creating a new tagline for our site.
We rounded off the week with an inspiring story about Chris Jeavans who has decided to live plastic free for a month. Go along and read her blog and put in an encouraging comment for her.
C’est tout wonderful friends. Thank you for another great week of sharing your thoughts, experiences and comments with us. Have a wonderful Sunday and we look forward to sharing more next week.
