carnival of trash
The sun is shining and the temperatures are soaring here in the UK. Yes I do believe summer has found us at last.

So with testosterone levels matching summer temperatures, what better time to get a little hot and sticky and talk dirty?

Yes, dear readers, I’m taking the baton from Mrs A next month and will be hosting the Carnival of trash. Yipee!

If you run a blog, have something positive and inspiring to say about your trash, and want to bag yourself a few extra readers then come and join in the fun.

What I’ve learned is that EVERYONE has something to say about rubbish. From neighbours in the street to garbloggers around the world and many other fab people doing wonderful work to raise the awareness of environmental issues rubbish touches everyone’s lives.

We all have to deal with it, put it out each week, carry it and sort through it.

Next month, the baton is going to the gorgeous Beth at Fake Plastic Fish, so jump in and travel around the world without raising your carbon footprint. Who knows – maybe you’ll get to host it too.

I’ll be hosting the August edition on 11th August, so get submissions to me by the end of this week please (Saturday 2nd August).

I’m stealing this bit about submissions from Mrs A because she words it so perfectly:

Submissions should be examples and inspirational stories about how you or anyone you know is helping to eliminate landfill waste. Items can be anecdotal accounts or examples of good practice of how frustrations are dealt with. Please feel free to share news about fabulous products, people and organisations that promote recycling. Examples of poetry, photos of trash or trash as an artform are also welcome.

I’m really looking forward to hosting this party – I’ve never done one before, had never even HEARD of a carnival before, so help me make it a success by participating and spreading the word.

If you would like to get involved, please submit your blog article to the next edition of Carnival of Trash using our carnival submission form.

I’ve contacted lots of people over the past three weeks asking them to join in (you know who you are!) so get your thinking caps on, your fingers to the keyboard and let’s make this a real cyber celebration.

  1. Ok, so, how does this work? Do I link to an article that I’ve already published on my blog?

  2. Hi Mrs G…I’m really looking forward to this and keep saying I must, I must, I must, I must remember to send you something before I go away….and if you don’t think my memory’s that bad, imagine that it’s only just now that I’ve remembered we need a green card and European breakdown cover and we leave in less than 36 hours…LOL…so you might just get a late submission…hee…hee.

While I’m here, re Kristen’s question, you’ve got it in one. The aim is to link to an existing article posted on your blog. However, there is time to write one especially should you feel the need ;-D

Thank you again for hosting this month’s carnival Mrs G. Hope you enjoy it and if anyone would like to host one in the future, just put up your hand as new hosts are always welcome. 😀 x

  6. Mrs Green says:
