sunday roundup
It’s the end of another zero waste week here at Chez Green.

Things have been a little quieter at front of house, as it were, but that’s because there is lots going on behind the scenes for our zero waste week at the beginning of September.

We have some really exciting things lined up, including a prize giveaway for EVERY DAY of that week! We have competitions galore including your chance to win books, glorious hand made recycled products, products designed to help you recycle more and lovely gifts.

There is still time to become the proud owner of a bokashi bin this month, thanks to the generosity of our friends at Natural Collection. To find out how to win one, head over to our competitions page.

We also have a 10% discount available with Elin from Nothing Nasty. All Elin’s hand made toiletries come in glass bottles, which are recyclable, plus if you return your empties to her for refilling, you can benefit from a generous 20% off your next order.

We began the week scraping through by the skin of our teeth when Little MisS Green took receipt of a party bag. Was it full of landfill layabouts or did the planet breathe a sigh of relief?

On Tuesday, my book order arrived. But there was a bit of a sorry tale about it too. Find out just what was wrong with my book order.

Our bin stepped up to the scales on Wednesday for her weekly weigh in. Did we gain or lose weight this week and just what did I feel so guilty about that awoke me from my sleep at the crack of dawn?

But wait! Something else happened on Wednesday; a shocking tale of woo and despondency. I’ve always felt that isolation and loneliness are the scourges of the 21st century and on Wednesday it came a little too close for comfort.

On Thursday, Mr Green was on a mission to buy cheese without plastic packaging; did he manage it?

On Friday, find out why Mr Green had to strip off in the local Co-Op – all for the sake of saving the planet.

Our links section continues to grow with the affiliates growing almost daily. We have so many wonderful companies stepping up to support us either throw prize donations or generous discount options. If we’ve omitted a fabulous UK company or resource, please let us know!

Join in with your opinion, experiences and thoughts on our latest discussions, take part in our polls (and if there is anything you like to see polled, send us your suggestions), check out of articles section which is full of useful tips and ideas to help you reduce your waste and step up to our challenge for July.

That’s all folks. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and tune in next week for more details on our upcoming Zero waste week and how you can be in with your chance to win some fabby prizes.

Thanks, this is fixed now. Unfortunately Internet explorer is a non-standards complient browser that does not recognise certain code conventions. We are forever writing fixes to make things work with it.
