recycle and make moneyWe all know that recycling is good for the environment.

But recycling is not only environmentally friendly; it can also be a good way of making some spare cash without putting in too much effort.

Recycle Mobile Phones

Most of us keep spare mobile phones in our home for emergencies, but there really isn’t any need to hold onto more than one.

There are many companies around who will happily pay to recycle your mobile phone. You usually receive payment within less than a week so it can be a good way of making cash quickly when you need it most.

It is also an effective way of doing your bit for the environment.

Sell Your DVD’s and CD’s

As with mobile phones, we tend to hold onto CD’s and DVD’s even though we know we will never watch or listen to them again.

If you want to make some extra cash from recycling cds, there are plenty of sites who will pay you for them and it means you can de-clutter your home in the process.

You may not make much of a profit but anything is a bonus and it is also a good form of recycling.

Car Boot Sale

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure as they say, so if you have a lot of unwanted waste around the home, a car boot sale can be the perfect way of getting rid of it and making some extra cash.

There are lots of places you can set up a car boot sale and it’s a good way to get of anything you no longer use or need.

Bottles and Cans

The majority of us will go through a large amount of bottles and cans, but many people are not aware that there are companies who will actually pay to recycle aluminium cans.

If you manage to collect a high amount, perhaps through a school or business, you will be surprised at how much extra money you can make.

Upcycle

If you have a bit of a creative side to you, there are many ways you can make extra cash by recycling.

There are items all over the home that can be used to create something new, for instance, you may be able to make greetings cards out of scrap paper and other bits and pieces you no longer use. You can even turn your old jewellery into new pieces as a good way of making money.

There are loads of methods of recycling at your fingertips, it just requires a bit of creative thinking.
