WRAP’s Recycle week – 22nd June

WRAPs Recycle Week, coming to a blog near you ...
Good morning lovely people. Not long to go before WRAP’s Recycle week is under way. It runs from June 22nd to 28th and has the theme ‘let’s waste less’.
There are going to be some fabulous green bloggers sharing their experiences throughout the week such as the lovely Mrs A who will be saving the world single handed over in her part of the world, Ooffoo, Green Pepper, and Lucy Danger.
Their pledges range from helping a school to give up waste for a week, sorting out their waste electricals to organising a recycling collection in their office every day and there are many more people joining in who we will cover throughout next week.
We’ve created a new section for the site, just for our WRAP Recycle Week posts, so you’ll be able to find everything in one place. At the top of the site you should see, funnily enough ‘WRAP’s Recycle Week‘ as a new category. Click on that and you’ll find all relevant posts together under one solar-panelled roof.
That’s enough rubbish from me for today – it’s a bright sunny day and I need to water the plants and feed the cat. Or water the cat and feed the plants; whatever.
Have yourselves a wonderful weekend and make time today to head over to the Recycle Now website and make your pledge for Recycle Week. What will you choose to do?
Rubbing hands in excitement and counting down the days. – am really looking forward to it and can’t wait to hear about your exploits at Zero Waste towers. Have a great weekend Mrs G…enjoy the calm while you can get it LOL. 😀 xxx
Hi Mrs Green,
The Pledges are for people of all ages to encourage newcomers to recycling and hopefully to the Zero Waste trend. Recycling is a good first step which can lead to greater things.
As an experienced Zero Waste enthusiast my Pledge is to promote the Week’s effort in my daily contacts on the web and locally to the max.
Mrs Average’s local effort will be worth following and good ideas are bound to emerge for other to try.
The team at http://www.BemoreEco.com and http://www.MoreEcoco.uk will be blogging their recycling exploits each day at part of the WRAP recycle week.
It is going to be interesting.
@Almost Mrs Average: Hey Mrs A; well I’m at your feet with your pledge; it really is amazing the amount of time and energy you have put into this community project. Well done you! Makes my garage looks positively easy LOL!
@John Costigane: Your work is very important John; we need people promoting the idea and getting others enthusiastic about reducing their waste – community effort at its best/
@Eco Champion: How are things going, Eco Champion? I left a comment on your blog and will be interested to see how things are working out for you 🙂
