The first moments of our WRAP Recycle week pledge!

The first moments of our WRAP's Recycle week pledge is underway!
My poor computer. By the time I’ve uploaded this video, we’ll have moved on an hour or so. Never mind; my intention is to bring you the latest news as it happens here at zero waste towers. A webcam would be fun, but I don’t have one.
To get you up to speed, we’re taking part in WRAP’s Recycle Week. Our pledge is to declutter our garage. A year or so ago, this would have involved a large skip and I would have happily paid the fee to have all our rubbish taken away.
Now, after a year of reducing, reusing and recycling all we can, that is no longer an option.
Decluttering the garage will involve careful plans for reuse, gifting of items on Freecycle and SnaffleUp, taking apart composite materials for responsible recycling and keeping landfill waste to an absolute minimum.
Mr Green started at 9am this morning and I filmed his first few moments – there will be more updates throughout the day.
I made soup first thing with leftovers ready for hungry tummies at lunchtime and I’ve been keeping on top of all the housework jobs that I usually let build up, otherwise I will be very miserable by the end of the week.
While you’re watching this, I need to don my boots and gloves and go and help the troops. Wish us luck and make sure you’ve made your own pledge too!

Amazing! Mrs G, what was that blue machine that Mr G dragged out first? And identical machine has been dumped by our park this morning (or more likely .. overnight!) and I couldn’t make up my mind what it was!!
Great work. I loved the sound of that sheep in the background. A true sign of the countryside.
You want to go and bag that, Popsicles; it’s an industrial carpet cleaner – very handy to have around the home 😉
We’re very lucky, Mrs A to have such a musical backdrop to our life 🙂
Would you Adam and Eve it? I reported it before the young folk could start taking it to pieces and spread it all around, but by the time the guys got there, it had gone!
