I’m in Prima magazine!

Prima magazine describes itself as providing “real life guidance, inspiration and ideas to simplify the lives of modern women today.
It’s packed with tips, tricks and clever ideas on the key elements in your life – Fashion and beauty, craft ideas, recipes, diet and health and family advice.”
Earlier this year, one of their writers contacted me to say I might be just the person they were looking for on a feature about women blazing a trail. I’d never thought of myself as a trail blazer before!
The article covers five women who are, according to Prima, “at the cutting edge of new trends.”
Hannah and Jane set up Primer Donnas, a decorating business in South Manchester. They make up a small minority of women working in, what are traditionally seen as, male trades.
Lesli, 58, from Hertfordshire has taken to the road with her rescue dog, Chelsea. Together they’ve travelled 10,000 kms through Europe in a campervan.
Alissa lives in London and is an experience host for Airbnb. She gives tourists an authentic local adventure by taking them to places they would never have found on their own.
Finally, I’m there as their “Eco Trailblazer” for my work in promoting, and campaigning for, the issues surrounding waste and sustainability.
If you’re interested in reading more, do check out the April 2017 issue of Prima – I’d love to know what you think!
I never knew how you got started. What a great story and it’s so nice that you are being recognized for your efforts and spreading the word to more people. I’ve loved participating in Zero Waste week last year and can’t wait for it again this year! Congratulations on the article.
I am so glad to see more stories like this being covered in magazines! I think it’s important to show how easy, and adaptable this lifestyle can be to any situation! Congratulations on being featured 🙂
Congrats! Seeing zero waste bloggers across the world getting positive recognition for their work is so cool!
Also, I didn’t know about the numbers for the Zero Waste Week : very impressive!
This is amazing! Congratulations on being featured! I like how your story was covered and how you even mentioned items you weren’t prepared to sacrifice. I think that point is critical since most assume that living a zero waste life has to feel like a sacrifice of EVERYTHING, but that’s not true. I also had no idea about the stats on Zero Waste Week, and it’s only going to grow 🙂 Congratulations again on the feature!
Wonderful article! How nice that Zero Waste or Waste Reduction finds it’s way into magazines read by many women. In all Zero Waste groups are like 90% women that are really interested in this lifestyle so I think magazines for women will find this to be a topic of interest of their readers.
Loved the article and now I’m in the process of reading your blog from the beginning!
Congrats! How cool!
