Recycling plastic bottles on holiday!

I know, you probably think my holiday photos are full of recycling bins.
Well you’d be partly right I suppose…
But before you think everything is lost, I’ve been known to be tagged on facebook by a certain reader of the site (who shall remain unnamed) with, yep, you’ve guessed it, recycling bin photographs.
So you see, it’s not just me.
Last week, while we were in sunnier climes we were self catering. It’s always a worrying moment when you consider you might have to leave your shoes and towels behind to make room for taking home your recycling instead.
However, the house came with full recycling instructions which were as follows:
What a holiday treat! Not only was there the excitment of a food caddy in the kitchen, but there was also the added bonus of plastic bottle recycling. I almost had to go out and buy a plastic bottle of something lovely to celebrate!
What about you – how have you been getting on reducing your waste away from home during zero waste week?
I’ve been taking scrap paper home from the classroom to recycle 😉
@Joddle: fantastic Joddle – well done you 🙂
I was in London on Monday and did my bit for Boris! We were in the park by The London Eye and I put my bottle into the recycling bin and 2 others that I picked up on my way across the park.
Interesting bin which had mixed recycling at one end and residual at the other, with a seperate space for chewing gum in the middle! Yes, you read that right …. chewing gum!
@Poppy: yay! how funny about the chewing gum but it’s a massive problem on the streets so well done London for addressing this
