behind the scenes ...

Morning lovelies; how are you today?

I’ve been slaving over a hot keyboard for a while writing up a couple of new pages for the site.

First you can ooooh, aaaaah and take trips down memory lane with us on our Media page. This page highlights some of the media interest we have had over the past couple of years through newspapers, radio and TV and will be regularly updated.

Next is an FAQs page. This contains some of the most frequent questions that get asked via Contact forms and basically means I can manage my time better and no longer have to write the same thing ad nauseum every week. Yay! (it’s only taken me 2 years to figure that out)
You’ll also find a couple of sample letters in case you want to kick some manufacturer’s proverbials about their naughty packaging or feel a bit of a ‘Return to Sender’ moment coming on.

Finally, and this is what I’m really excited about – I’m piecing together the information for this week’s Zero Waste Week and what a week it’s going to be!

Zero Waste Week  starts on 6th September 2010 and the theme is ‘Cooking for Victory’. Yes, we’re all going to be heading to the kitchen, rummaging through our trolleys and reducing our food waste.  We have a very special company sponsoring the event, the support of a celebrity chef and a fabby prize to be won for one lucky winner. So mark it in your diaries, tell all your friends and very soon we’ll have a dedicated page for you to sign up on.

Oh, and in between times I’ve been counting and weighing toothpaste tubes and crisp packets – collections for recycling are going brilliantly! More on that another time…

Well that answers a question that has been buzzing around my head for the last week or so (lots of room in there!) What will the Queen of Zero do on Zero Waste Week?! Sounds exciting 🙂
