Guess what, guess what, guess what?!

LOOK!
weekly weigh in number four

Our weekly weigh in number three amounted to super middleweight status at a piffling 484gms!

That means we have practically HALVED the amount of rubbish we send to landfill in two short weeks.

Yee haa and hurrah, bravo and encore and all sorts of other fun exclamations.

To be honest, I’m not quite sure what it was we did to knock 200gms off our total weight this week. I’m too tired to think about it right now. But think about it I will and will report back henceforth…….

A few months ago I used to wonder if we could ever manage to put out just one carrier bag of rubbish a week. It seems we can and I still have MORE ideas to reduce it further.

Zero waste here we come………

I hope you’re all having a wonderful week.

  3. Oh yes Mrs G, I sure did miss you. Hope you had a great time and got to know some Recycling Centres while you were away. ;-D xx

  4. Mrs Green says:

Oh Mrs A; if only you knew the half of it. My landmarks along the way were where the nearest recycling points were LOL! Talk about needing to get a life………

We faced a possible thousand pound fine for putting food waste in the local recycling centre – that was an eye opener!

  5. LOL Mrs G – yes I’m afraid one of the side effects of rising to the challenge is that soon you become an expert on where to find the nearest HWRC in EVERY town you drive through let alone visit…and it’s not for the want of looking either.

So…what were you doing with the food waste at the recycling centre? Not trying to break in during the middle of the night dressed as Batman and Robin I hope. ;-D

  6. You’ve been away?
    Welcome home then….
And well done on the weight loss!

  7. Mrs Green says:

    Thanking you, ma’am πŸ™‚

We went to Devon for a few days. It was wonderful – perfect weather and very relaxing. It’s just so weird with blogs; as you can pre write things and people never know you are away πŸ˜‰

No breaking and entering, Mrs A; I just thought we’d be able to get rid of some cooked food that had been left out for too long, but evidentially not! I’d never seen such stern warnings about food waste before; is it a seagull thing??
