Love is in the air and to show our love for you and the environment we’ve got some delicious hand made, organic, zero waste chocolates up for grabs.
Cocoa Loco are the generous company donating this prize to all you love struck people out there.
If you’re dismayed to find plastic wrapped chocolates everywhere, then this is the prize for you.
Cocoa Loco is a small family firm who produce yummy chocolate with minimal impact on the environment. Their products are Fair Trade and certified organic by the Soil Association.
What I’m most excited about is the packaging! Cocoa Loco use tissue paper and cardboard boxes which can be reused or recycled, fully biodegradable cellophane wrap and packets which can be composted at home and wood wool to protect the products which can be reused as packing material, composted, used to line animal hutches or is great for starting fires!
And just to prove they are passionate about their recycling policy, Cocoa Loco put out less than a standard domestic dustbin full of rubbish for landfill each week. One of the criticisms we regularly hear is that landfill waste isn’t the responsibility of the householder, it’s the manufacturers who create all the waste. Well Sarah and her family at Cocoa Loco are showing this isn’t true in all cases.

The ethical ethos they have should be an example to all those who think “it’s not my problem, it’s all those BIG companies”. Mmmm, I’d choose the brownies please and hopefully the chili choc brownies would add just that extra bit of heat to Valentine’s Day too.

There is a kind of love called maintenance
Which stores the WD40 and knows when to use it
Which checks the insurance, and doesn’t forget
The milkman; which remembers to plant bulbs;
Which answers letters; which knows the way
The money goes; which deals with dentists
And Road Fund Tax and meeting trains,
And postcards to the lonely; which upholds
The permanently rickety elaborate
Structures of living, which is Atlas.
And maintenance is the sensible side of love,
Which knows what time and weather are doing
To my brickwork; insulates my faulty wiring;
Laughs at my dryrotten jokes; remembers
My need for gloss and grouting; which keeps
My suspect edifice upright in air,
As Atlas did the sky.

It would have to be the Brownies feast box for us, the kids have drooled over that site a few times! If money was no object the Cocoa Loco site would be a must at birthdays.

oh! the brownies treat box sounds fantastic and im sure will tickle our taste buds on valentines day, but a great gift idea for the hard to please and for the person who has everything.

Well I had a look and then I stayed away knowing that there was a deadline and after that was reached I couldn’t be tempted further to enter… but I forgot when the deadline was so here I am again and the deadline hasn’t been reached yet… and I can’t resist so I’ll have to make a choice… it is … the wooden box!
