Dare I mention the ‘C’ word?
Yes folks, a few weeks from now Santa and his little helpers will be spreading their magic across the lands.
And I’ve come up with the amazing present for the woman who has everything…
It’s unique, handmade and can be as personalised as you like.
You might remember, October was ‘Recycle your Bra’ month.
Our friend Michelle from The Eco Alternative Art Shop; Eco-Centricity has set up a scheme where people can pop their bras in the post to her and have them recycled into purses!
Charging just £8 to cover labour and postage, all the purses are hand sewn and finished with a zip.
At just the right size to fit keys, mobile phone, a little cash and a card, they are perfect for a night out (or, as Little Miss Green believes; the perfect size for a library card and pocket money).
Can’t wait to get your hands on one of these unique recycled bra purses?Here’s what you need to do:
- Pack up your bra and pop in an envelope.
- Include a piece of paper, stating your name, full address and email address
- Add a cheque for £8, addressed to “M A MORGAN TWO ACC”
- Go henceforth to your friendly local post office and send your package to:

I saw a tutorial once about how to make these little bra purses. I think they’re darling (except the plaid one–plaid, really, for a bra?!), and would certainly make a cheeky gift for a close gal pal or sister. And how much fun o carry for a girls’ night out?! 🙂
I think it’s a great idea, although unfortunately one that’s not going to work for me – I’m small enough that my bras would make the ultra-annoying purse, where it’s a struggle to get the essentials in. Then, I’m the kind of person who likes to have not just the essentials but everything anyone could need, on them. I use Onya bags – spacious bags whether backpacks or shoppers made from recycled bottles
well not to brag, but mine would be good for carring home the shopping LOL, seriously there brillant, may get one done except that all mine are in use, dont have that many, as I keep telling my mum, one on ,one in the wash and one spare, for everything

@ Joanne: The small bras are great. A-C cup work best; all pictured are my own modest B cups!
But Sandy and Sue are definitely right; bigger ones end up as Bra Holdalls!
One thing I should add Is that Im currently unavailable by phone; It was stolen at the weekend and Im hoping to replace it by the end of the week!

So smart. I’m afraid mine are rather boring and utilitarian. I also get told off for wearing clothes until they wear out but doing that gives me a sense of satisfaction. I’m also happy to wear patched clothing. I still intend to get round to having a go at turning a collar.
