It’s that time of the week again where I share the link love.

Below you’ll find three of my special chosen stories from around the internet.

Each one features a great recycling, reuse or reducing story with the odd inspirational recipe thrown in for good measure.

Home made falafel recipe

Something that always seems to come in nasty non recyclable plastic packaging is falafel; little fried beauties made from chickpeas.

I’ve made hummus in the past and I have to say it wasn’t great, but I am inspired to have a go at home made falafel after finding this recipe over on the Natural Parents Network.

Have you ever made falafel or do you have the secret to good home made humous? Mine was too grainy, so maybe my blender isn’t up to par…

Recycling isn’t rubbish

Over on Ready for Ten, Rosie has been investigating recycling.

She felt that she and her family ‘could do better’ so have been making a conscious effort to recycle more. Not only that, but they’ve signed up for bagladys’ ASAP pledge and are about to set up a compost heap!

Check out her “Recycling as a family” post.

Recycling stamps into bookmarks

Little Miss Green has started collecting stamps and now she is the proud owner of 3 stamp albums thanks to Granddad Green who has been gathering his collections since long before I was a twinkle in his eye.

Some stamps can be very pretty and Kristina over at SCRAP has come up with a lovely idea for recycling old stamps into bookmarks.

I think these would make a lovely gift for a bookworm and you could find perfect stamps for their interests to make this a truly personal gift.
