Mrs Jackson creates art from her zero waste week rubbish!

I had a great couple of photos sent to me from our very own Mrs Jackson.
Mrs Jackson arrived on the site as a regular reader less than a month ago; and has been contributing to the site ever since. She saved up all her rubbish during zero waste week (pictured above) and with the help of her son, modelled it into something creative!
What a fab idea π
During the week, Mrs J and her household went from their usual 8 and a half carriers to less than half a carrier of rubbish! The majority of this was food from her toddler, which had been thrown on the floor or played with. That’s a fantastic achievement.
But all the plastics were salvaged and turned into THIS work of art!
I have a ‘may the force be with you’ moment, whenever I look at this pic. What about you – have you ever done anything creative with your ‘rubbish’?
What with Mrs J and Gavin McClafferty it would appear that creativity is in the air!
Thanks. He’s going to take his model into school for “show and tell” and talk about what he did.
How did the talk go? Did they all enjoy it?
Oh sorry it’s on Fridays so he tells me so we’ll have to wait. Have kept talking to his teacher about it though so she’ll be aware to help him out.
lol ‘May the force be with him!!’ π
So, how did the talk go?
Very creative & does look rather like, uhm, the professional ones.. Now if all Hollywood were required to use reused/recycled/eco stuff for their background and FX…?!! (& be eco about it!!)
Aww school was closed due to the snow.
Oh no! What a tease π Is the school open today, or does he have to wait until Friday to do his show and tell?
Layla – what a thought’ Hollywood using recycled materials. Hmmmmmm.
School is open but you got it show and tell is just on Fridays. I saw a boat made from sponges and straws on cbeebies this morning – maybe it’s catching.
Maybe there is a new career for you, in children’s television, Mrs J π
