Why can't I see the flash viewer on the home page?
This is compatible with all browsers, but maybe you need to update your flash player. This is free and easy to do, go to adobe flash player for an update.

How do I subscribe to RSS by email?
Simply fill in your email address in the RSS box at the top of our banner. This will take you to Feedburners site to confirm your request. RSS by email is the same service as ordinary RSS feeds, but for people who don't have or want an RSS feed reader. The RSS stories come to your email box instead.

What is the newsletter service?
We provide a simple email newsletter that you can subscribe to. You have the option to select certain categories and how frequently you get updates. The advantage is that content you receive is more flexible than RSS.

What is the email notification option under comments ?
You need to provide a valid email address when you leave a comment, this is never published on the site. However, you can choose to get an email notification if anyone else adds a comment after yours. This enables you to easily follow a topic of discussion, like a forum. The email notification needs to be checked/unchecked each time to confirm your requirements. This feature is also on a post by post basis only.

Please explain the 'My History' tab.
This feature uses a cookie to store a record of the last 20 pages you have been to on our site. No-body else sees this list, because the cookie is read from your own computer only. If you delete your cookies, this list will be lost. If not, the list is preserved between your visits and will expire after a year. This feature can be useful if you want to remember certain pages and return to them often without using your browser bookmarks.

Explain the yellow boxes with red numbers by the posts.
These show the number of comments added by readers after the post. If you click the number on this yellow box by the post, it will jump to the last comment published.

Yes please! providing they are relevant to our topics on this website. You can post them in the 'Have your say' section, or email us directly from the contact page

My comment avatar looks funny, can I change it?
You can't change the avatars on our site because they are generated automatically. You can get your own personal avatar by registering at openavatar or gravatar Your personal avatar will now appear on your comments globally.
