natural collection logoNatural collection are one of the longest-standing, truly ‘Green’ online companies. Many more have come on board since Natural Collection was launched back in 1999 but not many come close for ethics and integrity.

Natural collection is the baby of Jo and Julian. They created the company to support sustainable innovation and ideas. Their product range is astonishing and grows every year with the launch of their biannual collections.

Every item Natural Collection sells has been independently vetted by an environmental expert for eco friendliness. Not content with winning the Observer’s Ethical Award for three years in a row; Natural Collection bagged themselves ‘best Buy’ in the Independent’s Ten Best Shopping Trolleys last year.

Natural Collection are the UK’s leading non-food ecological retailer and have raised and contributed over £500,000 for environmental and other worthy causes.natural collection screen shot It’s not about making money; it’s about the collective impact of our actions, whether we are a retailer or customer.

Ahead of the game in many ways, Natural Collection constantly research ecological criteria and update their suppliers about the use of better environmental materials and the best use of innovative eco-alternatives for product manufacture.

From fashion to solar panels, cleaning products to compost bins, you’ll find everything you need for your home alongside a great range of gift and luxury items. They have frequent sale items and promotions such as free delivery throughout the year. So make sure you are signed up to receive their newsletter for the latest goodies. You’ll find newsletter sign up at the top of the banner on every page of their site.

if you want to learn more about terms like ‘Eco’, ‘Natural Living’ or ‘fair trade’ then the ‘Dot Guides‘ pages will provide you with tips to help you make informed choices about the products you buy.

They even have a Facebook page where you can keep up to date with their latest news and offers.

re box initiativeYou’ll be aware that a company’s zero waste packaging policy is the thing that titillates me! So you’ll be delighted to hear that my titties have most definitely been elated by Natural Collection’s p&p ethics. Back in 2007, long before I was caring about what I tossed in the landfill, they launched their ‘RE-BOX’ initiative.

This is basically a posh way of saying that they send your orders out using discarded boxes and packaging collected from local businesses. This has reduced their own purchases of recycled cardboard boxes by a whopping 75%. Mother Nature is breathing a sigh of relief as I type.

But, ya know, not content with being the best Green online retailer, winning awards all over the place and saving the world single handedly, Natural Collection have created an online community.  Ooffoo is their eco space to share, swap and recycle for FREE! No more listing fees – horrah! And the chance to enter competitions a-plenty and to get to meet a whole green gathering of other like-minded folk. You can read all about it on a review I did when the site was launched. But better still, why not register on Ooffoo and go and join in the sharing?
